Ukraine crisis and media literacy Existing media that destroys itself

The sloppiness of the commercial media over the Ukrainian crisis makes me want to cover my eyes. The nightmare of the announcement of the Great Headquarters during the Pacific War in Japan revives. This time, the Western media, including the United States and Britain, who have been illusioning with the flag bearer of the freedom of the press, are at the forefront of the anti-Russian campaign, and the Japanese media is spilling the Western media as a "big headquarters announcement." The Ukraine crisis is also a great opportunity to look at alternative media to replace existing media and improve media literacy.

Let me give you just one example. It is a matter of two eastern Ukrainian states that have declared independence that directly triggered the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Following the political change in Ukraine in February 2014, when the pro-Russian government was overthrown and the pro-Western government was established, the two eastern Ukrainian states called the Donbus region, where Russians overwhelmingly live, declared separation and independence. The separatist armed forces were in a state of civil war with the Ukrainian government forces. Therefore, on September 5, 2014 in Minsk, Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and the People's Republic of Donetsk and the People's Republic of Lugansk agreed on Minsk 1 on the suspension of combat in the Donbas region.
Due to non-compliance with the ceasefire agreement, Minsk 2 = Photo = was agreed on February 12, 2015 by the mediation of Germany and France. The contents are the immediate suspension of the use of weapons by both Ukraine and separatists, the withdrawal of illegal armed groups and fighters and mercenaries in Ukrainian territory, and the legal independence of the Donetsk People's Republic and the Lugansk People's Republic of Donbas. It was the adoption of laws and the implementation of elections on special status recognizing a high degree of autonomy on which grounds arise.
At the end of October 2021, Ukrainian troops used Turkish advanced weapons to attack the separatists in Donetsk . Russia has accused it of violating the Minsk agreement. In response to this, Russian tanks were deployed near the Ukrainian border, which led to the Ukrainian crisis. On February 21, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the independence of the Donetsk People's Republic and the Lugansk People's Republic, while the European Union (EU) accused it of violating the Minsk Agreement.
There is almost no conflict between Russia and Ukraine in the facts surrounding the process leading up to the Russian military invasion.
The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), which has been watching the implementation of the agreement since Minsk Agreement 1, criticized the Ukrainian government's inhumane work in its 2016 report.
From mid-April 2014 to May 15, 2016, OHCHR reported 30,903 casualties as a result of armed clashes between Ukrainian government forces, civilians and armed groups in conflict areas in eastern Ukraine. Recorded. Of these, 9,371 were killed and 21,532 were injured. Ukrainian authorities tortured and abused detained armed rebel groups and 100 civilians, violating proper procedures and fair prosecution.
Ukrainian government officials have adopted policies that exclude and limit access to the basic freedoms and socio-economic rights of people living in conflict. This violates many principles of non-discrimination. In addition, the Ukrainian government has neglected to compensate for human rights in conflict zones and has waived many obligations to implement international treaties.
Ukrainian President Zelensky is treated as a tragic hero. However, a UN agency that conducted on-site surveillance reports that the Ukrainian government was blatantly violating the agreement.
In the television speech given by President Putin on February 21, just before the military invasion, in addition to the above-mentioned indication of the slaughter of Russian residents by the illegal armed forces (Neo Nazis) lurking in Ukraine, NATO has brought a number of state-of-the-art weapons to the Ukrainian army. It has provided and accused US and NATO forces of constantly conducting military exercises in Ukraine to provoke Russia.
The biggest problem is "illegal insurgents, combatants and mercenaries in Ukrainian territory" who were asked to withdraw in Minsk 2. This refers to the neo-Nazi militia group = photo = which is said to be active in Ukraine, including the combat units of US mercenary companies such as Blackwater in the United States, and the Azov Battalion that launched the political change in 2014.
Also, in Minsk 2, since it had been agreed with the two "People's Republics" to "give a high degree of autonomy with legal grounds for independence", the slaughter of Russian residents while sabotaging the implementation of the agreement for more than 7 years. It is irrelevant that Russia and the "republic" have been paralyzed by the Zelensky administration, which has continued to do so, and have moved to independence from Ukraine.
There are many other reports from UN agencies on inhumane military crackdowns by Ukrainian government forces and government authorities.
In addition, many who unconditionally criticize Russia admit that the Ukrainian government has deliberately sabotaged the Minsk agreement, complaining that it was "concluded on unfavorable terms."
Meanwhile, the Mainichi Shimbun editorial on March 9 made a malicious criticism of Putin Russia. Below are some of them.
"Russia is strengthening its ties with dictatorships in Africa and Latin America through arms trading and other means. Efforts to break this will be required. It will not be possible without the leadership of the United States. "
There is an aversion and refusal to Russia that does not require any questions and answers as if it was shown in the articles and comments of other companies.
Despite the definitive UN research report, which is highly trusted internationally, mainstream Western media are reluctant to spill one-sided propaganda that "Ukraine is the victim and Russia is evil." The Japanese media, which just follows it, got lost.
The existing media is self-destructing.
